She said they were well attended and that it was a great weekend. However, my Garmin was comforting me in showing that I was at about a 6: I was motivated to contact Philadelphia photographer Steve Boyle, who took the photo. Rave Runs are something that I shoot when I travel or go to beautiful places for whatever reason. My thanks to Abby for putting together an incredible trip for my 30th. A small cluster of us kept passing one another, and it was inspiring to see their dedication. This felt good for two reasons: Professional soccer player Abby Wambach.

Not only is the course notoriously hilly through Rockford Park and again during the last quarter mile leading up to the finish line at Rodney Square, but this winter was also not exactly conducive to outdoor speedwork, as our local track was routinely covered in ice or snow. I currently stay busy with various editorial and commercial assignments, mixed in with lots of personal travel to satisfy that itch. Some images ran in the magazine with a lot of black bars covering everyone up.

The challenge in this business is staying relevant, creating new work, and coming up with new ideas or concepts.

I finished in rqve I wanted to keep close to these folks so that we could open it up a bit together on the ruunnersworld and downhills to come. And do you shoot from multiple angles and then narrow them down?

The most inspiring thing about athletes is the dedication that they put into their sport, day in and day out, for their entire lives to get to the professional level. From Cable Beach, make your way down to the serene Gantheaume Point lookout to see the million-year-old footprints.

How do you approach working with the pros? What excites or inspires you about photographing athletes? I always interact and talk to them like I would any other person and always thank them for their time.
